Session Description: In 2017-18 Lyman High School introduced the Applied Professional Studies program. This program is based loosely on the Center for Applied Professional Studies courses offered at Park City High School. The program partners high school students with local business and government agencies to create real world projects that the agencies have not had time to complete. We will discuss the process we went through in our first year, what we learned, and what we will do to expand the program for future years.

Session Outcomes: Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. Attendees will see how they can integrate real world learning into public school systems.
2. Attendees will learn what stumbling blocks to avoid as they integrate a new project.
3. Attendees will be able to see that doing great things for kids does not cost a lot of money.
