What is a Flash Mob?

Middle school teachers will create their own flash mob to gain a stronger awareness of the value of dance/movement in their classrooms. Through the use of dance and technology, teachers can build relationships with others, increase self-confidence, explore and create patterns, observe connections to other content areas. Teachers will receive ideas for flash-mob lesson extensions and additional classroom activities.

Session Outcomes: Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. develop flash mobs with the students in their classroom.
2. determine how to use spaces in their school to create the flash mob.
3. incorporate various content areas: technology, science (energy, movement/motion), fine and performing arts dance (choreography), health, listening, etc.,
