Session Description: The session goal is to build and further educators’ knowledge regarding the WY-TOPP Writing online assessment. Educators will have the opportunity to understand the process of selecting appropriate stimuli, analyze various writing prompts, use the constructs of the writing rubric while scoring sample student papers, and engage in a technological follow-up activity to build Wyoming- specific student writing responses.

Session Outcomes: Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:
1. learn about the writing assessment process
2. use a rubric to score writing responses
3. apply their writing knowledge to their classrooms
4. submit student sample responses
