She began her career as a Middle School librarian and has now transitioned to K-6 librarian. Maggie is also the Library Curriculum and Instructional Director for the district.

Mike Dragseth is the Technology Facilitator at Meadowlark Elementary School in Campbell County School District. He teaches K-6 technology classes with a focus in Computer Science and coding.  Together, they integrate library and technology skills to prepare students to be future ready. With the passage of statewide computer science standards, Maggie and Mike see library and technology elementary classes as being at the forefront of allowing students to explore information and technology applications while still taking risks. Maggie and Mike are Google Certified educators and are active participants with the technology community in Gillette as well as the State of Wyoming.  They have hosted Google Hangouts with the Headmaster of Array School of Technology and Design, retired educators, emergency dispatcher, code.org engineer, and other professionals to facilitate a conversation with students. These conversations center on melding technology and career awareness. They are well-versed in technology integration tools such as Littlebits, green screen, virtual and augmented reality, research methods, citation protocol, iOS/Android application creation, etc. Integration of these skills from Kindergarten through 6th grade has shown marked improvement in engagement and ability to transfer problem solving capabilities to other situations.
